Dr. Josh Chenowith
Josh grew up in Lacombe, Alberta, and graduated from the Canadian University College in Lacombe with a Bachelor of Science in 2005. After completing his BSc, attended Loma Linda School of Dentistry in Southern California. After graduating from Loma Linda in 2009 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery, he followed up on opportunities he had in Alberta and moved to Red Deer where he worked as an associate for 3 years.
Josh married his wife Julia in 2006, and his daughter Vivienne arrivied in 2011. After the birth of Vivienne, Josh and Julia moved to Victoria in March 2012, following the retirement of Dr. Jim Girard.
When not at work Josh spends his free time with his family, enjoying hockey and golf, playing in a softball league with Julia, and every Friday, attending art classes with his daughter Vivienne.
Joanne started her career working in dentistry in 1992, and has 18 years of dental reception experience.
Most of her life has been spent between the greater Vancouver area and the interior of British Columbia where she raised her family. In 2007 Joanne moved to Kelowna, where she spent the past few years. Then in 2012 Joanne made the move to Vancouver Island where she now resides in Sooke and works at Dr. Chenowith's Family Dentistry office.
Kara has been a CDA for 7 years and joined our team in January of 2014. Kara has lived in Victoria for the past 6 years. She and her husband moved here to be a part of the naval community. Kara is very proud of her roots on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. Kara loves camping and walking, but her favourite pastime is attending concerts or other live music events.
Breanna joined our team after a brief return to her home province of Alberta in January 2014. Breanna has been a CDA since 2007 and made Victoria her home in 2011. Breanna loves Victoria for the temperate climate which allows her to get outside more often and hike various locations in and around the city. Breanna also loves living near to the water which make Victoria her ideal home.
Born and raised in Duncan, Michelle attended Vancouver Island University where she graduated in 2009 as a Certified Dental Assistant. With over four years of experience, she has been working in this office since 2009.
Michelle is away from the practice while she takes time off to welcome a new addition to her family.
Michelle has joined the practice after relocating from Nanaimo 1 year ago. Michelle has been in the hygiene field for 15 years. Michelle brings with her an unbridled exuberance for oral health, a cheerful disposition and a gentle touch. Michelle enjoys spending time in her garden, looking after her two boys and ensuring her husband is keeping subscribers of the Times Colonist well informed.
